Before I joined Educe-logy, I had many other tutors but my grades for Math and science were not improving. When I joined this year during February, I didn’t have much expectations, but under the guidance of my Math tutor Yen, my grades in math began to improve tremendously, moving from a low C6 to high A2. I started to understand more about the Math and science topics and I began to take an interest in the subjects. Yen is a very patient and cheerful tutor. She would apply different method to teach us. I learnt a lot of new things which I didn’t realized before. I got better at grasping the main points when I study.

I started with Educelogy in mid 2007 when I was struggling with my grades with maths and science. Gina helped me to be more motivated with maths and she made sure we understood clearly before moving on. Her teaching method was very helpful and helped me cope well in school. Her lessons were always fun and tuition was never a dread unlike my previous tuitions. She was encouraging as well and provided incentives to motivate us to reach our goals. She was probably one of my best teachers.

I was also never able to do well in science and never understood chemistry. My grades were a constant D7, never being able to pass. But when I started tuition with Derek, he built up my foundation and provided me with lots of practices to make sure I understand what was taught. He has always been clear with his explanation. I never find myself lost again like I used to. I started embracing chemistry and my grades improve tremendously.

Educelogy is like a big family and I am glad I am part of it. They held events like Christmas party and such. It was very enjoyable and our tutors were more like our friends. They were friendly and understanding and cared for all of us. The tutors went beyond the textbooks and shared with us their personal experiences. It was very engaging and meaningful. It wasn’t all about studies as we did have our fair share fun too.

Derek:

Derek is a very passionate teacher who teaches me chemistry. He has made the effort to come up with ways to make us grow more interest in chemistry and of course to make the class an enjoyable one, instead of theory lessons only. He makes the effort to go through the questions that we were unsure of, especially for stoichemistry. He has gone through the lessons several times just for us to understand. My results have improved since I joined Educelogy.

Gina:
Gina is my math teacher. She is a very patient teacher that presents her answers step by step. She also explains clearly in class and lessons with her are productive. She has conducted consultation for her students when examinations are drawing near. After joining her math lesson, my grades has also improved. Every lesson, you’ll definitely learn something new. She has also gone to the extra mile to go through with the graduating students the math syllabus for O’ Level examinations.

From my personal experience, I think that Educelogy is a well-established tuition centre. Not only focusing on the academic results, they have also organized “Goal setting program” that allows us to set targets for ourselves to motivate us further. They have also taught us about time management. I am thankful to be part of the Educelogy family.

i started tuition with Gina in mid 2007 as i could not find a reliable full time tutor before that. She is clear in her teaching and her explanations are easy to understand. She rarely cancels classes, which I experienced a lot from previous tutors. She comes on time and stays longer if she has to. She gives good tips on how to remember things for mathematics and science. She recommends good and useful assessment books. Most importantly, i managed to improve my grades through her coaching. I managed to attain an A2 for science from a B4 which i considered an impossible feat as I was an extremely weak science student. She also helped me to maintain an A1 for mathematics throughout the whole year. Thanks to her never ending effort to help me I am now in the triple science class.

She has been teaching me for almost a year now and I have even recommended her to other friends of mine as her dedication and encouragement is extremely strong. Thanks to her I am still maintaining my grades and with her guidance I am confident that i will do well in the coming 'O' Level Examinations.

"He is my Chemistry and Physics teacher. Although studies is always the main priority, he would always share a thing or a two about something relating to real life like what route is it to be in junior college or in polytechnic. Before I have entered this center I have really hated science, especially chemistry. I have always thought that Chemistry doesn't even have to do with our basic usage of items whereas for physics, I would still be able to imagine things like camera or photocopier and use it in physics. Although he taught me chemistry just 3 months before the Final Year Examinations, he gave his best in trying to make me understand and use all the knowledge, examples and on skills on how to tackle exam questions that will always come out to solve all my difficult questions that I have."

"She is my A maths and E maths teacher. Before I came to this tuition, I was actually really struggling with maths because I had been infected by chicken pox and couldn't attend school for 2 weeks. My main problem has always been having careless mistakes and also not reading the full question before starting to do it, and she has since spotted out my mistakes and make sure that I do not repeat doing the same thing again. Although, I still have careless mistakes now but when I do my questions I would always be reminded by her advices of asking me to read through every single thing before doing the questions and also check through everything after I have completed the questions to prevent myself from getting marks that I am supposed to have to be deducted. "

Thank you teacher Gina for your dedication towards teaching. You are not like the previous teachers who would just make me memorize the steps on how to approach math questions, you would explain the logic behind each question and make me understand the whole concept. This approach has helped me understand the math topics better and has made a significant improvement in my results - from a B4 to an A1. "I started learning physics from him during Feb. 09. Initially my grades for Physics was an F9 and i hardly had any confidence in Physics. I was having my O levels and thus i was worried for physics. However, ever since Ming wei started tutoring me, my grades starting improving and soon, i was consistent in achieving a minimum of a B3 for Physics. Ming Wei helped me to understand the various concepts and clear my doubts. He would help to find ways to ensure that i understand the lesson well and that i am able to cope with Physics.
